Step 1: The Exhibition

Step 2: The Gallery
Questions about the physical space:1. What type of lighting is used?
low/ dim lighting was used at his exhibit

color of the walls seemed navy blue with the lighting but after looking at my images the walls looked grey

there was very little architecture used just was blue walls and a few paintings and a few benches

everywhere i moved my head there was a different work of art looking at me. I felt like i was being watched
Step 3: The Artwork
Questions about the artwork:1. How are the artworks organized? the begining of life was in the back and the later part of life seemed to be in the front. i believe this is because it shows his life now up front
2. How are the artrworks similar? all the works had the same style. like same type of brush stroke.
3. How are the artworks different? some works seemed dark like as in death but others seemed colorful like as living
4. How are the artworks framed? most were not framed but there was like one or two oil on canvas framed and all the drawings with graphite were framed
5. How are the artworks identified and labeled? they were labeled to the right side of the art work with the name of artist, name of painting, and medium,
6. What is the proximity of the artwork to each other? id say about 3 to 4 feet apart from each other

Step 4: Art Criticism Exercise
Select three of the artworks from the show and use the Art Criticism worksheet to desribe, analyze, bracket and interpret the work using the 5-step Art Criticism Process described. (see the sheet in the module folder)
